NorthConnex, $1.5 million
NorthConnex is a nine kilometre tunnel that will link the M1 Pacific Motorway at Wahroonga to the Hills M2 Motorway at West Pennant Hills, removing around 5,000 trucks off Pennant Hills Road each day. Due for completion in 2020, NorthConnex will be the longest and deepest road tunnel in Australia.
Ashmor was engaged by NorthConnex, which is a joint venture between Lendlease Engineering and tunnel builder, Boygues, to deliver hydraulic services across a number of key sites within this major infrastructure project.
